Dr. Michelle Legacy, DO

profphotoDr. Michelle Legacy is a board certified dermatologist specializing in a wide range of medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. She has a special interest in dermatologic surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic anti-aging procedures. She promotes prevention and protection for all skin types, as well as offers gentle and effective treatment of many common skin disorders and conditions.

A Michigan native, Dr. Legacy completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science and finished with honors. She attended Michigan State University to earn her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Legacy competed her dermatology residency training in affiliation with Michigan State University at Botsford General Hospital where she served as chief resident.

During her training, Dr. Legacy took special interest in international dermatology, which took her to Tanzania, Guatemala and Botswana. She received several grants and awards including the American Academy of Dermatology’s resident international grant and the James Bernard Leadership Award, among others.

Dr. Legacy has been an associate dermatologist at The Skin & Vein Center since 2012 where she serves patients in Fenton and Garden City/Westland. Dr. Legacy is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and an affiliate member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
