What is dermatology?
Dermatology is the medical specialty in which diseases of the skin, hair, and nails are diagnosed and treated. Some of these diseases and conditions may be treated with carefully chosen and monitored medications. Other dermatologic diseases may require in-office surgery for proper diagnosis and treatment.
