‘The Hour Lift’ or mini-facelift now most popular cosmetic procedure

That’s why one local 69-year-old woman, who asked to remain anonymous, is in the pre-op area of the Skin and Vein Center in Fenton for “The Hour Lift,” a mini-facelift procedure that’s becoming more and more popular.

“We’ve been doing these for about 15 years, but they’ve become much more mainstream now since makeover shows on TV began to glamorize them about 10 years ago,” said Dr. Eric Seiger, board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon. “It’s not a ‘taboo’ thing anymore.” Dr. Seiger estimates he has done between 2,500 and 3,000 of these procedures, on women as young as 24 and for a couple who was each 86 years old. “I’d say the median age for this surgery is about 58, and 95 percent of my patients are women. The results will last between five and 10 years, depending upon the patient.” The difference between The Hour Lift and a regular facelift is that The Hour Lift involves cutting the skin and tightening the facial muscles, rather than moving the facial muscles.

The price is also a huge factor in a person’s decision to undergo this procedure. A full facelift will cost between $6,000 and $15,000 -depending upon the scope of the procedure. “The number one thing that patients say to me is, ‘I don’t want to look 20 years old again. I just want to look in the mirror and be able to look as good as I feel inside. I want to feel refreshed,”’ said Dr. Seiger.

Preparation, Procedure, and Aftercare for the HourLift Mini Face Lift

Prior to surgery, you will be given a sedative to help you relax, after which a local anesthetic will be applied to minimize any discomfort. During the procedure, which will take between one to one and a half hours, a small incision is made in the front of the ear. The surgeon will then lift the tissues under the skin to take out extra skin. The skin is then re-draped over they overlying skin to produce a more youthful, wrinkle-free appearance.

After the procedure, patients will wear an iced head garment for approximately 24 to 48 hours. They will generally be able to shampoo and apply makeup the day after the procedure. The sutures will be taken out within six to eight days. Patients may experience some bruising. Some minimal pain may be experienced that can be alleviated with oral medication. But, like SmartLipo, Lipostructure, and other cosmetic procedures, the 1 hour face lift is very non-invasive.

With the FDD, we also provide business planning tools and information so you can do your due diligence.

  • 3. Program Review

    Once all documentation is received, Rock Bottom will review your application as well as schedule a time with you to discuss the franchise program in more detail. This review will include information about the real estate and design process, what assistance we will provide, franchisee support, marketing programs (both local and national), and other crucial details that you need when opening your franchise.

  • 4. Discovery Day Process

    If you so desire, you can visit our flagship office to meet the team in person. This is an optional step, but may aid in future business relations.

  • 5. Approval/Opening your New Rock Bottom Restaurant

    After all previous steps have been completed and our team reviews and approves your Rock Bottom franchise application, we will draft your franchise agreements so you can begin the process in earnest. From there, all that’s left is to finish the real estate and building process, and open your new Rock Bottom restaurant!
